A low-code platform enables users to quickly express an idea for a new business application as an intuitive drawing — and then the platform translates that drawing into software. There are two natural consequences of low-code:

  1. First, it’s fast, because users don’t have to code the application line by line.
  2. Second, low-code applications are more powerful because they are effectively written by the low-code platform.

As a result, software quality is no longer a function of developer skills and time spent on a project – both of which are expensive. Instead, quality depends on the sophistication of the translation layer.
